Company Overview

Company Overview: For the company overview we focused on defining Lux Centrale’s mission and values to emphasize ethical luxury and community engagement, with each founder contributing insights based on their experience

Industry Overview: For the industry overview we split research tasks to explore trends in sustainable luxury, competition, and market gaps in Richmond, allowing us to position Lux Centrale uniquely against local and online consignment competitors.

Sales and Marketing Plan

Sales and Marketing Plan: For this plan we defined our target customer through demographic and psychographic research, focusing on affluent, eco-conscious women.

Brand Strategy: We emphasized sustainability, luxury, and authenticity, aligning our imagery, logo, and colors with our audience’s tastes.

Pricing and Promotion: We researched local spending habits and set competitive consignment rates while building a multi-channel marketing approach that includes social media, print ads, and community partnerships to increase visibility and engagement.

Operations Plan

Operations Plan: We conducted market research to understand our eco-conscious luxury shoppers and identified key product categories. We selected reputable suppliers and determined an initial inventory of $75,000 based on financial analysis.

West Cary St in Richmond, VA: An inviting retail environment with a store layout and visual merchandising strategy centered on luxury and sustainability. The founding team defined roles to cover essential operations, and we planned community engagement initiatives to foster local connections. Regular meetings facilitated feedback and refinements, aligning our plan with our vision for a sophisticated, sustainable shopping experience.

Financial Plan

First-year sales: Based on market research and competitor analysis.

Fixed Costs: Such as rent and salaries.

Expected gross profit: Assessed the cost of goods sold and established a detailed monthly sales plan considering seasonality.

Breakeven Analysis: Determined the necessary sales volume for profitability, which we reflected in a projected profit and loss statement.

Opening Capital Spending Plan and an Opening Inventory Plan: To ensure we met customer demand effectively.

Cash Flow Forecast: monitored expected inflows and outflows, providing a clear financial roadmap and justifications for each component based on thorough research and analysis.

Outcomes

The Business Plan final project was a pivotal experience in my Fashion Merchandising curriculum. In this capstone project I took the lead on managing all financial aspects of the marketing campaign, meticulously tracking budgets and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility. This role allowed me to effectively contribute to brand promotion and create memorable guest experiences, demonstrating the importance of a data-driven approach in achieving our marketing goals.
